Chimpanzees Writing

Last week the Chimpanzees wrote recount stories about their weekends. We have been learning to add more detail to our writing. We wrote about who we were with, where we went and when we did it. Then we wrote about what we did and finished with a feelings sentence. Listen to see if you can hear the different parts of our stories! Here is Gabriel’s story:

Birthday Boy Broden!

Yesterday was Broden’s birthday. Wally spotted Broden being a superstar and decided to go home and celebrate with him. Have a read about some of the awesome things they did together!

Our Kitchen

We like playing in the kitchen. Ava says “I like selling ice cream and getting some money.” Sarah says “I like making big ice creams.” At our shop we make and sell pizza, ice cream and lots of other yummy, tasty food.

Amazing Animals

In Toroa we love learning about animals. Today we have a big cage for the dangerous animals and a little cage for the not so dangerous animals.

Wally’s first adventure

Wally is our new monkey friend in Toroa. Each night he will choose someone to go home with. Last night he choose Marco! Have a read of Marco’s story about what he did with Wally.

Kelly Sport!

We were very lucky on Thursday afternoon last week because we had two coaches from Kelly Sport visit our school and we did some fun sports games with them.

We played three different games and we had bright coloured bibs to signal who was the 'monster!'

Here are some photos of us in action!

Thank you to our two Kelly Sport coaches, we had so much fun!

Our Cars

Lots of the children in Toroa love playing with the Duplo. They make so many amazing creations. Today the boys were building cars and trucks.

Stanley says "My car is an SUV car. It is double decker. My car can go really fast!"

Muhammad says "My car is really big. It can stop and go! It drives on the circles."

Marco: What do you like to do when you are at school? What do you like to do when you are not at school?
Mrs Walker: When I am at school I like to colour in and talk to all of the kids at Action Stations. When I am not at school I like to go on bike rides.

Jacob: When is your birthday?
Mrs Walker: My birthday is on the 19th of November.
