Sarah: What food do you like to eat?
Mrs Walker: I like pizza and ice cream. I love fish n chips!
Broden: What is your favourite colour? How old are you?
Mrs Walker: My favourite colour is yellow. I am 25 years old.
Ava: What animal do you like?
Mrs Walker: I like dogs. I have a dog called Frankie and three chickens at home.
Marco: What do you like to do when you are at school? What do you like to do when you are not at school?
Mrs Walker: When I am at school I like to colour in and talk to all of the kids at Action Stations. When I am not at school I like to go on bike rides.
Jacob: When is your birthday?
Mrs Walker: My birthday is on the 19th of November.
Mrs Walker is originally from Taranaki and has lived in Christchurch for the last five years. She studied at the University of Canterbury and this is her first teaching position. We are very excited to get to know her better and to have her as a part of our team!

ReplyDeleteWow, you will be feeling happy in your space too! Mrs Walker has just finished her third week in Toroa. She is doing an amazing job so far. We like doing reading, writing and maths jobs with her. This week she did the morning routine with us. We like singing the Good Morning song with Mrs Walker. We are helping Mrs Walker settle in by being good at giving 5 and listening. Sometimes if she doesn't know something we tell her so we can help her. When does your new teacher start?
